Singer-Songwriter Anour presents "Shelley & Frankenstein" from her eponymous debut album
Demascus born, Montreal based singer/songwriter Anour releases a music video for one of her most dramatic and theatrical songs from her debut album
MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA, October 21, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Just in time for Halloween, indie singer-songwriter Anour delivers a masterclass in age-old eerie storytelling with the release of her latest music video, "Shelley & Frankenstein." The song appears on Anour's recently released self-titled debut album.“Shelley & Frankenstein” is a lyrical horror story about creative parasitism. In her own spin on literature’s most famous creator-and-creation tales, Anour casts herself as the author, Shelley, her former lover as Frankenstein, and their relationship as the monster.
Leeching Shelley’s creativity, Frankenstein and the monster bleed dry the very imagination that gave them life, and therein lies the irony. Devoured by her own creations, the author must free herself by slaying Frankenstein, and with him, the monster. Reimagined echoes of “Ring a Ring o’ Roses” drift through the song, a children’s rhyme long rumoured to conceal the plague beneath its playful surface, just as the love at the heart of this story concealed something darker.
Haunting and dramatic, the track is a perfect showcase of Anour's sweeping, theatrical storytelling. Conjuring an evocative atmospheric soundscape with high-stakes dramatic tension, the song reimagines classic gothic lore into a modern tale of personal reckoning in which the author reclaims her story. The accompanying music video unfolds like a storybook coming to life, and as playful as it is wistful, it wraps the viewers in a beautifully strange, dreamlike world that lingers long after the final note.
Prepare to be haunted by "Shelley & Frankenstein," the spellbinding new single and music video from singer-songwriter Anour, dropping just in time for Halloween.
Anour is managed by Fontis Entertainment and Blü Dog Media.
