Commemoration of the National Day and the Haojiang Moonlight Night Tickets for the Large-scale Music, Dance, Poetry and Acrobatics Drama “Landscape and National Tide” are on sale
MACAU, September 17 - In order to celebrate the National Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Commemorative Performance of the 77th Anniversary of the National Day of the People’s Republic of China and the Haojiang Moonlight Night – Large-scale Music, Dance, Poetry and Acrobatics Drama “Landscape and National Tide”, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, co-organised by the Department of Publicity, Cultural and Sports Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, supported by Sands China Ltd., produced and performed by the Dezhou Acrobatic Troupe, will be held on 30 September and 1 October 2026, at 8pm, at The Londoner Theatre. Tickets will be on sale from 18 September.
The production comprises nine acrobatic acts of distinct styles, each with its own charm, including “Homage to the Phoenix – Contortion” with its elegance and grace; “Pride of the Martial Realm– Flying Tridents” evoking the spirit of martial arts and heroic bearing; “Moonlight over the Lotus Pond – Umbrella Juggling” capturing the refined allure of the Jiangnan region; “Melodies Across the Fields – Hat Manipulation” reflecting rustic folk traditions; “When the Sorghum Turns Red – Silk Aerial Dance” expressing passion and affection; “Dreaming Through Past and Present – Diabolo” showcasing the techniques of opera facial mask; “Ascending to the Heavens – Chair Balancing” displaying extreme balance; “Black Pottery and Blue Porcelain – Foot Juggling” embodying the aesthetic of Dezhou’s black pottery craftsmanship; and “Leaping the Dragon Gate – Hoop Diving” featuring smooth leaps and explosive power.
Meticulously connected with a series of scenes rich in oriental charm, the performance draws on the essence of traditional Chinese culture and the regional culture of Dezhou, Shandong. Blending classical landscape with contemporary trends, the production integrates various performance forms such as acrobatics, poetry recitation and dance to reinterpret Chinese acrobatic art, transforming a traditional national treasure into a new fashion trend. The show won the “Outstanding Drama Award” at the 12th National Acrobatics Showcase organised by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as well as the “Jury Award” and two “Silver Elephant Awards” at the Elefant d'Or International Circus Festival in Girona, Spain.

Holders of a valid Macao Resident Identity Card, full-time Student Card, Macao Teacher Card, Senior Citizen Card, and Disability Assessment Registration Card, as well as seniors aged 65 or above, will be offered a 50% discount.
