ZANE Productions’ Short Film “Chiamara & Poorvi” Premieres at LA Shorts International Film Festival
ZANE Productions announced today that its latest short film, “Chiamara & Poorvi,” premiered at the LA Shorts International Film Festival.
LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, August 11, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- ZANE Productions announced today that its latest short film, “Chiamara & Poorvi,” directed and produced by Director Zane and created by Elsie Arisa, premiered at the LA Shorts International Film Festival on August 10, 2026, in Los Angeles. The selection represents a milestone accomplishment for ZANE Productions, which specializes in commercials, branded campaigns, social-first content and filmmaking. While the production company is well-known for creating strategic content for brands and major companies, “Chiamara & Poorvi” shows the agency's expertise in telling meaningful, character-driven stories.
“What made this project especially meaningful was the personal connection that both Elsie Arisa, the creator, and I brought to the story,” said Director Zane. “As first-generation Americans raised by immigrant parents, we understood the tension of growing up between two worlds: embracing an American identity while still wanting to honor the cultures, values and sacrifices of our families.”
“Chiamara & Poorvi” follows two first-generation women as they navigate family expectations, culture and independence in the United States, while exploring the challenges of growing up between cultures and building a new life on their own. The shared experience of Director Zane and Arisa helped shape the film’s authenticity and create themes of identity, belonging and family that many first-generation Americans can understand.
“We’re incredibly proud to have Chiamara & Poorvi selected by LA Shorts and to see the film connect with audiences in a festival setting,” said Director Zane. “The questions at the heart of the story — who we become, what we owe our families, and how we define our own path — are universal. My hope is that audiences see something of themselves in these characters, and that this screening is only the beginning of where their story can go.”
Following the short film’s premiere at the LA Shorts International Film Festival, Director Zane and Arisa are already looking ahead to their next project. They recently completed production on another short film, “Fading,” which wrapped in June of 2026 and is currently in post-production.
