HOLLYWOOD, CA, USA, June 30, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — Viktoria Ross is on her way to make a mark in the pop and electronic dance music world with the debut of her first American single, "Money," produced and co-written by Music Producer and Entertainment Consultant Raffles Van Exel. The Eastern European beauty is taking on the EDM movement with her vocals backed by high energy house music. "My style is pop with a mix of folk music and EDM," said Ross who loves to perform live.

It's no secret that music is a big part of the Ukrainian culture, from folk music to modern rock. Ross will add EDM to the traditional Ukrainian culture with her mash up of world music and hip hop. As an only child, Ross found her "brothers and sisters" in a music family when she attended a local music school. "When I was 14 years old, I enrolled in the Leonid Utesov Music Academy in Kiev," she said. "I was obsessed with the piano."

While a music student, Ross met a well-known Ukrainian singer and producer who cast her as the lead singer of the band. "We topped the Ukrainian music charts," she said.

Ross comes from humble beginnings but her sound is unique and on a high level. "I was born and raised in a small village," said Ross. "My mom is a farmer and my dad is a truck driver." After graduating from music school, Ross knew her next step was to travel to the US to pursue her dreams of being an international music artist. "My family influences my music," said said. "They inspire and encourage me to create something big and amazing."

Raffles van Exel, president and CEO of Raffles Entertainment, met Ross and knew she had the talent to be introduced into the music industry. "Miss V is the next big international star," said van Exel. "She has the look of a super model with a heart of gold."

Van Exel co-wrote the song, "Money," with Anthony Paul for Ross and paired her with the best in the music production business, including Ari Stylez, hip hop artist destined to be a legend. The wife of the influential folk singer and songwriter John Stewart, she recalls the day her husband wrote the classic “Daydream Believer,” one of The Monkees’ greatest hits and among the most enduring songs of the last 50 years.

“When my husband wrote ‘Daydream Believer,’ it was one of those songs,” recalls Buffy. “To him it was an unproductive day at work; All he did was write one song. He said, “Gosh, all I did today was write this song called ‘Daydream Believer.’ You just never know when a song is going to be that song. But what a song.

“All the great songs are simple with simple lyrics you can remember,” says Buffy. “The whole world knows that song. The more simple a song is, the more people it can reach. I think that’s the key to songwriting: you don’t write thinking about selling records; you write from your heart.”

Buffy and her husband shared a profound musical bond. He often referred to her as his muse. Their musical love affair lasted more than 50 years until he sadly passed away in 2008.

“The first song we sang together the blend was so perfect,” recalls Buffy. “People miss our blend. I miss singing with my husband. When you heard our voices together you could tell it was us.”

A singer and songwriter in her own right, Buffy has just released her new album Once Upon a Time.

“As a songwriter, you do it because you love it and I’ve been doing it for 50 years,” says Buffy. “A lot of my songs come from poetry, but the great songs feel like gifts. You can’t even really take credit for them.”

Buffy has recently finished writing her first children’s book: The Blanket and the Bear, a magical little story about love and the endless possibilities of love.

“I think it’s really important to live in hope and do all we can to live in love,” says Buffy.

Willy Wonka Jr. Presented by Rowlett Summer Musicals

ROWLETT, TEXAS, UNITED STATES, June 28, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — Rowlett Summer Musicals is presenting ‘Willy Wonka Jr.’, a musical performed by kids ages six to nineteen. Performances will be held at the Rowlett High School auditorium with evening shows June 29th – July 1st, 2017 at 7:00 pm and matinee shows on Saturday and Sunday at 3pm.

The Rowlett Summer Musical is co-directed by Jenelle Sheppard and LaQuita Gumm, choreographed by Kynzi Gumm and musical director is Kimber Rodriguez. The summer camp utilizes an intern system to help grow younger talent and train the high schoolers to develop teaching skills.

"The best part of Rowlett Summer Musical Camp is getting to make new friends," said Lillian Stark, eleven-year old camper. "It's such a positive community and we all form a bond coming together to do the shows."
